How cleaning works

Exportli cleans names and company names to ensure you export data that's ready to use in your CRM and outreach templates.

Here's how we do it:

Cleaning names

• Standardize: Convert all text to lowercase and remove extra spaces.

• Normalize: Remove accents, emojis, and special characters.

• Simplify: Strip out titles, certifications, and unnecessary characters.

• Format: Capitalize the first letter of each word.

Examples:

• "Aaron Zasoba, CFE, CFCI, CCCI" -> "Aaron Zasoba"

• "René Javier Guzmán, FRM" -> "Rene Javier Guzman"

Cleaning company names

• Standardize: Convert to lowercase and remove extra spaces.

• Normalize: Remove accents and special characters.

• Simplify: Strip out corporate designations like "LLC," "Inc.," etc.

• Format: Capitalize the first letter of each word.

Examples:

• "Tech Solutions LLC" -> "Tech Solutions"

• "Global Enterprises GmbH" -> "Global Enterprises"
